Car parking at Manchester airport
Parking your car at Manchester airport is an ideal option if you are looking for a convenient way to travel to and from the airport. Although car parking is not the cheapest transport option for passengers, car parking at Manchester airport is simple and flexible enough to provide a range of solutions that meet the broad demands of Manchester Airport’s 22 million passengers each year.
So what are the options for car parking at Manchester airport? As a traveller, your car parking options at Manchester Airport include “off airport parking”, “long-stay parking” close to the terminals, “meet and greet” or “valet parking services” and “short stay parking” close to the three terminals. As with most airports, prices are cheaper if you book your cheap car hire in advance, and this can be done easily online. Typically you will find around a 20%-25% saving by booking in advance compared to the price you'd pay if you just show up on the day.
If travellers decide to just turn up and park on the day without pre-booking, they should expect to pay £2 for up to 35 minutes in the short stay car park, £18 for up to 6 hours and £27 for 24 hours and for each 24 period after that. Although car parking at Manchester airport without pre-booking is not cheap, it is conveniently located only a short, undercover walk from the main terminal buildings. This is useful if you are in a hurry, only going away for a short period, or have large or bulky luggage with you. We advise the “meet and greet” service for passengers with large amounts of luggage.
On the other hand, the long stay car park at Manchester Airport, to which you can just turn up without pre-booking, costs £20 for the first 24 hours, £64 for up to 7 days and just £6.50 per 24 hours after that, this is a very reasonable charge for long stay parking without having to book in advance.
If travellers are looking to book your car parking at Manchester Airport in advance, one thing that needs to be considered is that the short stay car parking service must be booked for a minimum of 2 days, and must include a Saturday, and long stay parking must be for a minimum of 3 days, although there is no requirement for a Saturday to be included.
Valet Service at Manchester Airport
For sheer luxury, convenience and peace of mind, perhaps the best possible option is to opt for the valet service offered to all passengers flying from Manchester Airport. Available for all three terminals, the valet service is not the cheapest option, but is by far the most convenient option. An excellent choice for families with children, travellers with large amounts of luggage and elderly or disabled passengers, the valet service at Manchester Airport works by providing you with a member from the valet team who will meet you at the terminal of your choice, help with luggage and then will drive your car away to a secure compound where it will be parked safely for the remainder of your travel abroad.
On arrival back to the UK, the valet representative will meet you at your arrival terminal with your car at hand. As far as convenience and peace of mind is concerned, it's virtually priceless.
Although the valet service can be arranged should you turn up and decide to use the service on the day, you will save significantly by booking the valet service in advance. Typical prices for peak season work out at £79 for a 7 day stay, and beyond this period prices work out at about £10 per day. This is a third of the price which would be charged should you just turn up and use the service on the day, so booking really is the best solution. Book your valet car parking service for Manchest Airport online to save and find the best prices.
