With three terminals: A (international flights), B (domestic flights) and C (primarily for private and shuttle flights), Barcelona airport serves more than 24 million passengers per year. From Barcelona city centre, drive along the Barcelona ring road, with the airport exit via the Pata Sur. The airport access road is the Barcelona-Castelldefels C-31 motorway, which connects with the Barcelona-Sitges C-32 motorway.

Rail Services to and from Barcelona Airport

Barcelona airport has excellent rail connections with Barcelona via the RENFE train line. The train station (Cercanías) is accessible via the walkway between terminals A and B. Trains leave every half hour and stop by the stations Sants-Estaçio (travel time 17 min), Plaça de Catalunya (23 min), Arc de Triomf (26 min) and Clot-Arago (30 min). A ticket for these destinations cost € 2.30, and there is a connection to the subway at each station.

Car and bus services to and from Barcelona Airport

The airport is accessible from the ring road around Barcelona, exit Pata Sur. The airport is on the way to Castelldefels (C-31), exit on the motorway Barcelona-Sitges (C-32).

The Aerobus A1 departs every 15 minutes from each terminal at the airport to the centre of Barcelona (Placa de Catalunya). A single bus ticket costs € 3.60.

In terminals B and C there are also two bus lines that operate from the airport to other destinations. One bus service goes to Figueres, Girona, Lleida, Reus and Tarragona. The other bus service goes to Castelldefels, Ribes, Sitges, Rocamar, Roquetes, Vilanova, Cubelles, Cunit, Segur, Calafell and El Vendrell.
